Hofgut Ruppertsberg and Freinsheimer Hof
Where once the horses and cattle were housed, comfortable guest facilities today invite you to stay a while. In our sunny inner courtyard you can enjoy the natural cuisine of Jean-Philippe Aiguier and his team as well as the wines of Dr. Bürklin-Wolf. The farmyard operation includes free-running chickens and geese, the tea house with the farmer’s garden, the nature reserve with the Marlachauen pastures on which our cold-blood horses Fanny and Lene graze, as well as an extensive herb garden. The Hofgut Ruppertsberg is an ideal location for individual company festivities, family celebrations and weddings.
The Hofgut Ruppertsberg with its agriculture as well as restaurant operation has been eco-certified (DE-ÖKO-006) since the summer of 2010, and is a member of the Bioland association
The Hofgut Ruppertsberg – a small jewel with incomparable charm.
Chef Andreas Engel and Jean-Philippe Aiguier
The Freinsheimer Hof – owned by the Langenwalter-Gauglitz and Stier families – was opened in the medieval wine village of Freinsheim in the spring of 2000, following extensive renovation work to a wine producing complex dating back to the late Baroque era.
The restaurant – which has been furnished and equipped with an artistic eye and great attention to detail – has two rooms, the former “Horse Stable” in the cross-vaulted corridor, the “Court Room” as well as the Mediterranean-style inner courtyard. Here Holger Jacobs, managing shareholder and chef, together with his crew of assistants, with experience in star-awarded restaurants but without being star-oriented here, has implemented a varied and imaginative cuisine based very strongly on fresh products.
The fresh ingredients he purchases in the region from suppliers he personally knows and trusts will vary, and be dictated by the season.
The Freinsheimer Hof is definitely worth a visit,
not only for adult gourmets!
